When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking, You Have Options
Each apartment at Golden West has a full kitchen. But sometimes, it’s nice to have someone else cook.
While Golden West does not have chef-prepared meals in-house, we do have partnerships with local organizations to make it easy for residents to order food for take-out and delivery. Our dining room is open for residents to enjoy the meals they have ordered there and for other social gatherings, too.
The Bridge House’s Community Table Kitchen Meal Delivery Service
Golden West has partnered with the local nonprofit Bridge House for meal delivery service through their Community Table Kitchen program. Copies of the menu for the upcoming month are available on the third week of the current month in the dining room. The menu also serves as an order form that residents fill in with their desired meals and make checks payable to Golden West for each meal ordered. Order forms and checks are dropped off in the dining drop-box in the reception area. Each meal is $10.
Meals are delivered to Golden West Monday-Friday at approximately 3:30 p.m. and labeled with the resident’s name and apartment number. A notice with all information related to ordering meals from Community Table Kitchen is posted in the dining room.
Boulder Meals on Wheels Meal Delivery
Boulder’s Meals on Wheels program also delivers meals for residents at Golden West. Residents can sign up for the program in several ways:
- Through the Towers resident services coordinator
- Via the Meals on Wheels website to fill out the online form
- By sending an email to info@mowboulder.org
- Calling (720) 780-3380
Once enrolled, a menu is provided each month and residents can order as many meals as they like, which are delivered to the dining room weekdays at 11 a.m.
Every meal is made by a professional chef, nutritionally planned, and includes an entrée, vegetable, salad, and dessert. Meals to meet special dietary requirements are also available. The cost for each meal is determined on a sliding scale after you have enrolled in the program.
