Angie began her work at Golden West well before the transition to Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) was completed on January 2, 2025 and she has been a steady hand helping to transition the community to new management under BHP. Angie has been with BHP for almost 11 years, and has worked within diverse community groups, including with housing for families with young children and intergenerational housing that served families and seniors.
In her role, Angie works with staff and residents to help ensure there is good communication, to help staff succeed in their day-to-day work, and make sure that residents feel heard, safe and happy in their home. She is encouraged by the camaraderie she’s seen at Golden West among its residents, the friendships and bonds they have built and maintained over the years. She said she looks forward to supporting the continuation of that culture.
Angie was born in Monterrey Park, California, but her family moved to Longmont when she was just several months old. She is from a large family including five sisters, along with a daughter of her own and 13 nieces and nephews. In her spare times she enjoys cooking and loves trying new recipes and experimenting with preparing some of her favorite takeout foods, often trying to incorporate healthier ingredients.
