League of Women Voters to visit Golden West
Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
The league will lead a discussion on a variety of issues up for vote in Boulder’s November election, including party affiliation and the right to vote, tax increases on tobacco products, minimum wage increases, medical aid for the dying and the candidates for the Boulder County school board.

The New Recorder Consort performance
Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m.
The consort is comprised of seven recordists who will perform some of Stephen Foster’s most beloved songs, including “Susanne,” “Jeanie with the Light Brown Hair,” and “Beautiful Dreamer.” They will also perform classic songs from the Romantic and Renaissance eras. The performance will feature the unique sounds of garklein recorders.

The Art and History of a Quilt Collection 
Friday, Oct. 20 at 2:30 p.m.
Antique quilt collector Mary Anne Randall’s collection includes local pieces from Boulder, and some of her quilts date back to the late 1700s and early 1800s. Randall will discuss the origins of her quilts and the lives of those who made them during this one-of-a-kind art history presentation.
