Learn about the mental effects of loss, grief and stress, and how to cope with all that happens in one’s life.

Friday, April 7 at 5 p.m. in the Ponderosa Dining Room
The residents of Golden West will showcase their talents on Friday, April 7 at 5 p.m. in the Ponderosa Dining Room. Come out and support your neighbors while enjoying fabulous performances!

Ted Talks screening and discussion
Tuesday, April 11 and 25 at 10:30 a.m. in the Aspen Room.
This month’s topics are “The Surprising Science of Happiness” and “The Power of Vulnerability.” After the screening, enjoy an engaging discussion with audience members.

A Trip to Africa
Friday, April 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the Aspen Room
A Fort Collins resident, Marjorie Morningstar regularly travels internationally. Her presentation will focus on her visits to South Africa and Zambia where she explored Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and the Zambezi River. She will also discuss a variety of African plant and animal wildlife.

“The Making of ‘Phantom of the Opera’’
Tuesday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Aspen Room.
BOULDER—Golden West will screen “The Making of ‘Phantom of the Opera’” on Tuesday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. in the Aspen Room. Get a behind-the-scenes look at how the movie was made and develop an even deeper love of the film. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Please RSVP by calling 303-939-0883. Golden West is located at 1055 Adams Circle.

 

Volunteer appreciation celebration 
Friday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ponderosa Dining Room
Golden West will thank its dedicated volunteers during the celebration “I’m a Volunteer, What’s Your Superpower?” on Friday, April 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ponderosa Dining Room. Join us as we celebrate the hard work of our 150 volunteers who help our residents and community thrive.

Jazz man Joe Diamo to perform
Friday, April 28 at 2:30 p.m. in the Aspen Room
Diamo is a talented jazz pianist who resides in Lafayette, Colo.
